Seno Gumira Ajidarma (born 1958, Boston) is a prolific and celebrated author. He is also an academic and is the current Chancellor of the Jakarta Arts Institute (Institut Kesenian Jakarta). He has a PhD from the University of Indonesia.
Seno has published dozens of books. These include Penembak Misterius (The Mysterious Marksman), Saksi Mata (Eyewitness) and Jazz, Parfum dan Insiden (Jazz, Perfume and the Incident).
Seno is also an avid photographer, and some of his photos have been published in his book Sembilan Wali dan Siti Jenar. His philosophical inquiry into photo was published as Antara Ada dan Tidak Ada.
Seno has been a long-time collector and researcher of comics in Indonesia. The subject of which was for his dissertation.
